Scope & Content Handwritten talk of Washington Territory. 12 pages 8.5 x 11" Blue ink. The theme is the story of the settlement of Washington Territory. It is a documented account of the settlement of Washington and of the Indian tribes here at that time. It tells of Franklin Pierce, in 1854, appointing of Isaac Stevens as govenor of the Washington Territory. This research was done in 1955 by marguerite Nelson.
