Post is at fence line. Lever is special contraption made by Maloney for use by people while on horses and wagons. 10. PO.200.0006 - Maloney's Parade Float for North Bend Parade. Pete's picture of the Livery stable, he won took first prize a lounig cup. (May be 1908 instead of 1910). The picture is of a float, built on a wagon, that depicts the North Bend Livery Feed and Sale Stable. It is built as a replica of the stable, including the printing. Peter J. Maloney, Prop. There is a horse tied to the back, and a team of horses hitched to the front. There are three men on the ground, and two on the float. One man on the float is with a donkey, and the other has a horse.

The car is an open roadster, Model T. There is a man sitting on the radiator driving the team. Along the bottom of the postcard, on the back is a strip of tape. The card has a One Cent stamp with a picture of Ben Franklin.

The picture is of the Livery Stable that was located on the South West Corner of First Avenue & Bendigo Street. The stable is a large barn with a hay loft and a lean to shed built on the side. There are several teams in the street in front of the stable. Some of them are hitched to buggies, some to wagons, and some to carriages. There are also several saddled horses, one rider is a small child. NORTH BEND LIVERY FEED AND SALES STABLE BALED HAY GRAIN FEED & PASTURE "Peter J. Maloney" is painted on the front of the stable in large white letters. The William H. Taylor home is in the background at the left. It is a large two story home with a covered porch around the home and windows and some gables on the second floor. This house was later used as Dr. Burke's hospital. Duplicate 114/6, 75/161 The Wm. H. Taylor home was across the N.Pacific R. R. Tracks on South Bendigo St. West side of the street.

The horse has the stripes of a flag in front, around his shoulders, and the stars are behind the stirrups of the saddle. Behind the white horse is the "Band Wagon". It is pulled by a team of horses, decorated. There are rows of three steps at each end for the seating of the members of the band. There are several more floats behind.
