Stamped on cloth sack in green printing is 2-3/4" shield with green tree emblem in center, Forest Service at top inside shield, and Department of Agriculture at bottom inside shield. Green letters below shield, type of contents in bag; at bottom of bag; Keep From Freezing, Northern Region, Missoula, Montana XXXV. Bag folded on one side and other side and bottom sewed. 9-1/4" wide x 17" long. Unbleached muslin. Chain stitch sewed around top edge.

4. 274.031 - Cougar Pete Peterson's hunting horn. Large animal horn used in hunting with string loop. Large, curved horn with both ends open. Small pointed end has tip cut off with inside grooved. 3/4" diameter. Large open end 3" diameter. Animal horn. Tightly braided string loop attached on each end for carrying. 14" long. Used by her father, Peter C. Petersen, "Cougar Pete", on his hunting trips.
