None. Has the land adjacent been logged off or burnt over? Not any. What, if any, is the danger from fire? At present there is not much danger. However there is a lot of down small Hemlock. Caused by heavy snow last season which is green at present if this timber become dead it would create plenty of material for fires. Are there any improvements on this land, and is there an occupant? None. Is there any visible sign of coal or other mineral deposits on this land? None visible. Has this land any special value on account of its topography as a route for railway, a logging road, or for dam sites or water power? On this section a good route can be found for a railroad from the South to the North. A very good route for a railroad can be found in and across this section along the East line of this section around the shore of Echo Lake (Boyle Lake). The surface is gentle rolling and sloping on the West part, on the East part the surface is steep sloping from dividing ridge as a whole the Timber can be logged to good advantage and will handle partly to the East and partly to the West of this section. General Note: This section don't contain the acreage given on the township plat on the East boundary owing to the less variation on the south boundary is about 73 chains on the west boundary the distance is given as 69.34 chains and the plat gives the fraction on the North as 34.75 acres which in not correct.

  19. PO.066.0001 - Kinsey Hotel in Snoqualmie. Kinsey's Hotel faces Falls Ave in Snoqualmie. Large three story building with five dormer windows across front on third story. Three dormer windows on ends. Rectangular shaped building. On corner with stake fence at left end of yard in front and across front end. Tree in yard at right corner of building. Vine growing and hanging down across top of front porch. Bay window addition at either end of front porch. Open veranda on front of second floor and two chairs on porch with door leading onto porch. Third story roof is curved and decorated with diamond and scalloped shingles, straight across bottom edge. Same pattern on angled roof above dormers. Brick chimney extends above roof on each end of front. Wooden sidewalks across front of hotel and down side of block to Kinsey's Hall at other end of block. Large two story building at back of hotel between hotel and hall. Both buildings appear unpainted. Smoke from two small fires in lot across street from hall. Cook in white and family are at corner leaning against fence. Man, woman wearing white apron, young woman in dark dress. Man in dark suit is Hugh McLeod. Woman in white blouse and dark skirt is Flora Thaldorf. Flora worked in Post Office for Kinsey until she married in December. Kinsey Hotel was located on Northwest corner of Railroad Ave and River St across street from Valley Record office. Hotel faced River St. The hotel burned in 1902 just after this picture was taken. Post Office and Meat Market were located in lower floor of Kinsey Hall. Second story was dance hall. Hall was painted white on side. It was located where the shoe store was in 1969. At the opposite corner on Front Street was the post office. Over the post office and meat market was the dance hall- Kinsey Hall. The main hotel and bedroom are shown. One of the Kinsey brothers Clark or Darius took the picture. The cook and family are at the corner next was Hugh McLeod, then Flora Thaldorf in white blouse and dark skirt. Flora worked for the Kinsey's in the Post office until she married in December.
