Description |
Covered bridge #FF822 over Snoqualmie River about 1/2 mile West of Milwaukee yard at North Bend between North Bend and Snoqualmie. Entire bridge consisted of 5 span pile bridge, 1 span through howe truss (covered) and 44 span pile bridge. Built in 1911 at a cost of about $1200.00 including labor and materials. Replaced with a steel span (originally built in 18 from an abandoned bridge somewhere in the Midwest) in Dec 1972 covered portion of this bridge was torn down on Nov 13, 1972. Photo taken Sept 30, 1972. This wooden structure was replace by the steel span at the far left edge of image. |
